Knoxville, Tenn. — Banana Ball is coming back to Knoxville for a two-night stand next June, with the Texas Tailgaters facing the Indianapolis Clowns at Covenant Health Park on June 4 and June 5.

The Knoxville Smokies announced the return of the entertainment-driven baseball style after strong turnout the last time the show played downtown. Officials said the matchup will give East Tennessee fans another look at the Tailgaters-Clowns rivalry inside the riverfront ballpark.

Fans who want a shot at tickets can join a lottery list before Oct. 31. Organizers will draw names at random for the first shot at seats instead of a free-for-all on-sale.

Covenant Health Park is the downtown home of the Knoxville Smokies, the city’s Minor League Baseball club, and has become the regular stage for special baseball entertainment nights since the venue opened.

Banana Ball packages short innings, crowd bits and nonstop action into a show that sits beside traditional Smokies baseball on the calendar. A two-night window gives visitors and locals a weekend option instead of a single date. Smokies staff framed the return as another entertainment baseball booking on a downtown calendar already built around minor-league nights.

The ballpark sits on the downtown Market Square–Gay Street axis along the Tennessee River, the same civic core that anchors Smokies game days from spring through early fall. Anyone planning a June trip around the series should watch the Smokies channels for lottery results after the Oct. 31 cutoff, then be ready when the purchase window opens for selected names.
