KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee and Kentucky played a full 90 minutes of SEC women’s soccer on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville without either side scoring, and the match at Regal Soccer Stadium ended in a 0-0 draw in front of 1,910 fans.

The Lady Vols carried most of the attacking load. Tennessee finished with 17 shots to 10 for the Wildcats and put six of its attempts on target, while Kentucky managed three on goal. The visitors did not register a single shot in the first half, when Tennessee piled up eight, and every one of the Wildcats’ 10 tries came after the break.

Kentucky keeper Megan Holland was the difference for the Wildcats, stopping all six Tennessee shots she faced, three in each half. Cora Fry tested her first, about a quarter hour into the match. Ayva Jordan put two shots on goal for Tennessee, and Kameran Bluette, Devin Davis and Emerson Moore also forced saves.

At the other end, Tennessee goalkeeper Cayden Norris made three saves to keep the clean sheet, all of them in the second half, turning away tries from Kendall Campbell, Michelle Moskau and Kyla Dawn.

Tennessee also held the edge on set pieces, earning eight corner kicks to three for Kentucky. The game was physical, with 13 fouls called on the Lady Vols and 12 on the Wildcats. Jordan and Bluette were both shown cautions late in the second half, and Kentucky was cautioned once around the hour mark. The match took two hours and 26 minutes.

The draw leaves Tennessee at 6-4-4 overall and 1-4-3 in SEC play, still hunting for league wins as the regular season winds down. Kentucky moved to 7-5-3 and 3-2-3 in the conference.
