FARRAGUT, Tenn. — Two more places to eat are lined up for the Biddle Farms Town Center development in Farragut, adding a French-style bakery chain and a hometown Mexican spot to a fast-growing West Knox County retail strip.

Paris Baguette and Country Burrito are the next tenants for the center, which sits on Kingston Pike across from the Farragut High School baseball field, close to the Campbell Station Kroger. The center opened a Tupelo Honey last year.

For Paris Baguette, the Farragut cafe would be its first in the Knoxville area. A group of three University of Tennessee graduates, working as Grey Mountain Investments LLC, has signed on to open as many as four of the bakery cafes in the local market, and Biddle Farms is slated to be the first. The group has pointed to a late fall opening, depending on construction and final lease terms. Plans call for cakes, pastries, sandwiches, coffee drinks, teas and grab-and-go items. Only three of the chain’s cafes now operate in Tennessee.

Country Burrito brings a locally owned name to a tenant list that already includes Parlor Doughnuts, Super Chix, Aldi, an urgent care clinic and a fitness studio. Business leaders in the Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce have said the county’s population center has drifted west toward Farragut and Hardin Valley, which is pulling new restaurants and shops into the area.

Biddle Farms mixes stores and restaurants with apartments and townhomes. The Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen signed off on the project with a unanimous vote on three ordinances, and the commercial side was pitched at about 60,000 square feet with a grocery store and at least three restaurants.
