Knoxville will host the Downtown Home Tour on Saturday, June 14, 2025, highlighting urban living within the city’s vibrant downtown area. The event is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will take place at the East Tennessee History Center located at 601 S. Gay Street. This tour is presented by Home Federal Bank and aims to both showcase unique residences and raise funds for the East Tennessee Historical Society’s mission to preserve and promote the region’s rich history.

The Downtown Home Tour will feature an array of distinctive homes, including both historic and modern spaces. The residences included in the tour are The Holston, Lerner Lofts, Century Building, Commerce Lofts, The Crozier, and Yardley Flats. The event is predominantly designed to be walkable, with free shuttle services available to assist attendees in getting to different homes on the tour.

Ticket options for the tour are categorized into three tiers, allowing attendees to choose based on their preferences. VIP Tickets are priced at $150, providing exclusive access to one home, the VIP Access Only home owned by Karen Spaid, located in The Century Building between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Additionally, VIP ticket holders will gain entry to a special VIP/Sponsor Party on June 12, 2025, at Regas Square condos. However, these tickets are limited in availability and must be purchased by June 5, 2025.

For those seeking to participate in the general tour, Advance Tour Tickets are available for $30, which grants access to all the homes except for the exclusive VIP location. These tickets can be purchased until June 12, 2025. For last-minute attendees, Day of Tour Tickets can be bought for $40 directly at the East Tennessee History Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

With an expected attendance of around 350 community members, the Downtown Home Tour highlights Knoxville’s ongoing celebration of urban living. The event not only brings residents together to appreciate architectural diversity but also supports the efforts of the East Tennessee Historical Society in preserving local heritage.

The East Tennessee Historical Society has been dedicated to promoting and interpreting the history of East Tennessee through various programs and events. This fundraising initiative contributes significantly to its objectives, ensuring that current and future generations have access to their historical narrative. The Downtown Home Tour thus serves as a unique intersection of community engagement, cultural richness, and architectural appreciation.

As the date approaches, interest in the tour is anticipated to grow, given the increasing prevalence of urban living in today’s lifestyle. The combination of modern amenities and historic charm present in the showcased homes ensures that attendees will experience a comprehensive view of downtown Knoxville’s living spaces.

For more information, residents and visitors may refer to the East Tennessee Historical Society’s website where details about ticket purchases and event specifics are available. This is an opportunity for those looking to explore the essence of Knoxville’s urban living while participating in a community-centric event that fosters local history.
