Knoxville Gears Up for Morgan Wallen’s Epic Concerts!

Hey there, Knoxville! Get ready for a major musical celebration as country music superstar Morgan Wallen takes the stage at Neyland Stadium for two spectacular concerts on September 20 and September 22. With both shows expected to draw around 80,000 enthusiastic fans each night, it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend for music lovers and Wallen fans alike!

Big Shows Ahead!

These concerts are part of Wallen’s highly anticipated “One Night At A Time” tour, added just last July. Interestingly, this addition came just a month after the Tennessee baseball team hit a high note by clinching victory at the College World Series. Proud to be his hometown, Knoxville can’t wait to welcome him back!

For those lucky enough to snag tickets, let’s make sure you’re all set for the big night. Classes will be in session at the University of Tennessee on the first concert day, so buckle up as there are a few important guidelines to keep in mind.

Parking Information

First up, the university’s asking concertgoers to hold off on arriving until after 2 p.m. on September 20, when parking lots officially open. Parking passes are already on sale, with prices ranging from $20 to $100. It’s essential to secure one to guarantee parking at specific lots on campus!

For the second show on September 22, parking will kick off at noon.

Just a heads-up: overnight parking is a no-go, and public parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re considering parking on the agriculture campus, there’s a shuttle starting at 3:30 p.m. that’ll whisk you right to the Student Union, located near Gate 21 at Neyland Stadium. Remember, some roads will be closed or extremely busy leading up to the concert, so plan wisely!

Ride-Sharing and Ticketing

If you’re hopping into an Uber or Lyft, use Volunteer Boulevard East for your drop-off point, right in front of the Claxton Education Building. After the concert, pick up will be at Circle Drive on the Hill, where police will be managing access, so keep your eyes peeled!

As a ticket holder, you’ll want to ensure you have your digital tickets ready. Fans in the general bowl can access theirs via the Ticketmaster app, while premium ticket holders will need the Tennessee Athletics app. Make sure to check which gate corresponds to your ticket type—there’s plenty of excitement in store!

A Great Experience Awaits

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. each night, with the concert kicking off at 6:30 p.m.. For those still seeking tickets, you’re in luck! Both shows have options available, including standard admission, VIP packages, and verified resale tickets.

Opening for Morgan Wallen are the talented ERNEST and HARDY, who are sure to get everyone hyped up before Wallen takes the spotlight! And while fans may have their hopes up to see Post Malone as well, he won’t be joining the lineup for these Knoxville shows.

What to Bring (and What Not To)

As you make your plans, keep in mind that you’ll be able to purchase alcohol during the concert, but bringing your own drinks isn’t allowed. Expect to pay between $10 to $16 for beers, and remember that IDs will be checked at the entrance, even for those of legal drinking age.

If you’re planning to bring items with you, be aware of the clear bag policy: only clear bags no larger than 12x6x12 inches or small clutch purses no bigger than 4.5×6.5 inches are allowed. You can, however, bring one unopened, factory-sealed water bottle or an empty clear water bottle. Just a reminder: smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, is prohibited at Neyland Stadium!

For those looking to enhance the concert experience, consider stopping by the Tailgate hosted by the Volunteer Club at 3 p.m. at the Humanities Plaza. Ticket prices for this fun-filled event are $100, which includes a DJ, an open cocktail bar, delicious food, and a chance to snap a photo in a Morgan Wallen-themed photo booth!

To all concertgoers, get ready for a fantastic evening filled with music, friends, and unforgettable memories. It’s going to be an action-packed show, and we can’t wait to see you there!
