Cosplay in summer heat.

The annual Fanboy Expo at the Knoxville Convention Center is the indoor refuge for fans and attendees from the rising summer temperatures. The event is scheduled on July 12-14. For ticket availability, fans can check online on the Fanboy Expo’s official website. The ticket prices vary from $12 children’s full-day access to a full three-day adult pass priced at $115. The celebrity Q&A sessions will kick-start the three-day event from noon on Friday, July 12. These sessions will feature comedian Rob Schneider and actor-producer Danny Glover amongst others. The costume contest for fans and participants will take place on Saturday. The expo will have celebrity appearances, with opportunities for fans to get autographs and photos.

Some of the notable celebrities who will make their presence felt at the event are:

– Sesame Street’s original Elmo puppeteer, Kevin Clash.
– Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Jackie Brown’ star, Pam Grier.
– “Harry Potter” series fame Bonnie Wright a.k.a. Ginny Weasley.
– Patricia Velasquez from “The Mummy” series.
– Rob Schneider, known from “Saturday Night Live” and “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.”

Fans will be entertained with a ‘Wonder Years’ cast reunion at the expo. Certain celebrities will make appearances on designated days only,
and many might charge a fee for autographs. For those fans who fancy a different kind of expo, there’s more in store in summer. The BrickUniverse Inspire Tour, in August, is a two-day event of fun and creativity for LEGO lovers. Also, in August, the CreepyCon Halloween and Horror Convention offers three days of activities, classes, contests, and shows for those who can’t wait for the spooky season to roll in.
