Other notable matches on the same day will feature Maryville against Halls, and Karns going up against Farragut, both also at 6 p.m.

In addition to these matches, fans can expect further action with Grainger playing David Crockett and Unicoi County taking on Volunteer – both set to begin at 6 p.m. as well. The winners of these contests will advance to the region championship on May 14.

More alignments are scheduled for May 12, with Anderson County visiting Cocke County and Seymour competing against Gibbs. Again, these matches are set for 6 p.m., with the winners of each facing off in their respective region championships on May 14.

Earlier in the day on May 12, Hixson will host Heritage at 12:30 p.m., while Lenoir City will match up against Soddy Daisy at 6 p.m. The winners will compete in the region championship on May 14.

Other scheduled matches on May 12 include South Greene facing Eagleton at 5 p.m. and Chuckey-Doak visiting Alcoa at an unspecified time. The winners of these games will compete for the region title on May 14.

Lastly, Cosby is set to challenge North Greene and Unaka will meet Hancock County at 6 p.m. The region championship of this bracket will also occur on May 14.

Knoxville will also be the site of the upcoming NCAA Softball Tournament, which begins on May 16 at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The University of Tennessee softball team, recognized as the No. 7 national seed, is poised to compete in this tournament. Their opening game is scheduled against Miami (Ohio) at 1:30 p.m., as part of a larger double elimination format.

On May 16, the tournament will kick off with Tennessee facing Miami (Ohio) at 1:30 p.m. on the SEC Network, followed by a matchup between UNC and Ohio State at 4 p.m. The full schedule for the Knoxville Regional includes six games spread over three days, concluding with a potential championship game on May 18.

The tournament features a double-elimination format, which means that teams will have a chance to compete even after a loss. Following their opening game, the winners and losers will continue in a structured bracket to determine the champion of the Knoxville Regional.

This year marks the return for UNC softball to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019, entering as a No. 3 seed. The significance of this tournament cannot be understated, given its role in showcasing the talents of high school prospects and collegiate athletes alike.
