News Summary

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has entered the 12th Annual America’s Best Looking Cruiser Calendar Contest, showcasing its vehicles and calling for public votes. Voting runs from June 30 to July 11, and the top 13 states will be featured in the 2026 wall calendar. With proceeds supporting educational scholarships, this contest not only highlights aesthetic patrol vehicles but also encourages community participation.

KNOXVILLE – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has entered the 12th Annual America’s Best Looking Cruiser Calendar Contest, organized by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST). The contest celebrates exceptional law enforcement vehicles from different states, allowing them to compete for the title of America’s most visually appealing cruiser.

Voting for the contest commenced on June 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. EDT and will close on July 11, 2025, at noon EDT. Participants can cast their votes for the THP by visiting a designated voting link (bit.ly/VoteTHP25) and selecting Tennessee on the AAST voting site. The 13 states with the highest vote counts will have their cruisers featured in the 2026 wall calendar, with the state that garners the most votes earning the prestigious cover spot.

THP’s newest cruisers showcased in the contest are a Chevy Silverado 1500 and a Ford Mustang. These vehicles were photographed at World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, a location notable for its iconic structure, the Sunsphere, which adds a unique aesthetic to the cruiser images.

The calendar contest not only highlights picturesque patrol vehicles but also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from the sales of the calendar will contribute to funding educational scholarships through the American Association of State Troopers Foundation. Each vote not only aids the THP in securing a place in the calendar but also helps support students pursuing their educational goals.

Engagement and Participation

In an effort to maximize voter engagement, THP is utilizing its social media platforms, including X, Facebook, and Instagram, to provide updates and reminders regarding the voting process. This outreach is intended to rally support from fans and the general public alike, inviting them to participate in selecting their favorite cruisers while contributing to a good cause.

About the Contest

The America’s Best Looking Cruiser Calendar Contest is an annual event that garners participation from various highway patrol and state police organizations across the nation. It aims to foster camaraderie among state troopers while providing an opportunity for states to showcase their vehicles. The competition has grown in popularity, demonstrating pride in state law enforcement while helping to raise awareness for educational scholarships.

Historical Context of the Venue

The location of the cruiser photo shoot, the Sunsphere, was constructed as part of the 1982 World’s Fair held in Knoxville, Tennessee. This striking structure serves as a symbolic landmark for the city and provides an eye-catching backdrop for visual campaigns, further enhancing the allure of the cruisers showcased in the contest.

Availability of the Calendar

The 2026 Trooper Cruisers Wall Calendar will be available for purchase later this year on the AAST’s official website, statetroopers.org. Following the voting phase, the anticipation for the calendar will heighten as supporters await the announcement of the winning entries and their featured spots in the upcoming release.

In summary, the Tennessee Highway Patrol is actively participating in a nationwide contest celebrating law enforcement vehicles while simultaneously contributing to student scholarships. With a call to action for the public to vote, THP hopes to represent Tennessee proudly in the 2026 Trooper Cruisers Wall Calendar.
