SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Rain in the Sunday forecast has pushed the South Carolina and Duke fall baseball exhibition in Spartanburg up by one day. The Gamecocks and Blue Devils will now meet at Fifth Third Park on Saturday, Oct. 31, with first pitch at 1 p.m.
The two programs plan to play 14 innings, and it will be the last fall outing against another school for South Carolina before the winter break.
Tickets already bought for the original Sunday date will be honored, so fans do not need to exchange them. The Hub City Spartanburgers, who run the downtown ballpark, handle ticket questions at 864-594-0701.
The college game is part of a busy stretch for the ballpark. College baseball comes back to Fifth Third Park in February 2027 for a three-day College Baseball Series with Wofford, UNC Wilmington, Indiana and Austin Peay.
