History
The Cedar Bluff name derives from a small quarry where cedar-colored marble was mined and an artificial bluff was carved into a hillside; the road through the former farmland took the name Cedar Bluff Road. The area's commercial growth accelerated with I-40/I-75 interchange development from the 1970s onward.
