History
The Holston Hills Country Club clubhouse was designed in 1927 by the noted Knoxville architecture firm Barber & McMurry, and its golf course was laid out the same year by golf-course architect Donald Ross. The course hosted golfing legend Byron Nelson's win at the 1945 Knoxville Open and has since been recognized by Golfweek among America's top classic-era golf courses.
